A 72-year-old man has been charged under the Communications Act 2003 as a result of an incident within a house in Westlands Road in Rothesay on Tuesday, October 1.

The charge relates to the alleged sending of certain text messages.

Meanwhile, police in Rothesay are appealing for information after the paintwork of a black Volkswagen parked in the town’s Longhill Terrace was scratched along the full length of the vehicle between 11.50pm on Septembr 30 and 12.45am on October 1.
