This week’s photo comes to us from Christine Fordyce of Foveran, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, showing Rothesay Pier in the 1920s.

The photo was taken by her Uncle Dan Mitchell who had a grocer’s shop in Queen Margaret Drive, Glasgow. Many thanks to Christine for sharing her photo, and if you’ve got an image you’d like to see included in our nostalgia section please email it to news@buteman.com.

Hard copies can be posted, with a SAE, to The Buteman, 5 Victoria Street, Rothesay, Isle of Bute PA20 0AJ.
