Pupils of North Bute Primary School planted a tree on Thursday afternoon on ground adjacent to the former St Ninian’s Church to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Following a short introduction from Councillor Robert Macintyre, the pupils took part in the planting of the tree.

A short prayer, written by Rev Owain Jones who sent his apologies at being unable to attend in person, was read by some of the pupils, after which those in attendance were invited to return to the Port school for refreshments.
