Two modern apprentices have joined the Zero Waste Bute team on the island.

Nathan McEwan and Liam Shorey will join Zero Waste Bute’s recycling and ReStyle furniture upcycling and re-sale shop teams this month to help bolster their resource management credentials.

Reeni Kennedy-Boyle, general manager at Fyne Futures, said: “We really believe in the benefits of Scotland’s work-based learning system in terms of its ability to reduce unemployment, and modern apprenticeships are a great way for Fyne Futures to expand the Zero Waste Bute team.

“We’re really looking forward to working with Nathan and to welcoming more modern apprentices in future.

“They will all be great additions to our existing workforce and learn new skills and earn on-the-job qualifications.”
