The Met Office has issued an advance warning of snow forecast for Argyll and Bute on Friday, January 15.

The yellow ‘Be Aware’ alert warns that as temperatures fall on Thursday evening icy stretches will form on many untreated surfaces, and on Friday morning there is also the chance of some light snow showers in the west.

Drivers are advised to take extra care on the roads and to allow extra time for journeys if necessary.
