A former Rothesay Academy pupil says a recent charity trip to Malawi was “the best thing I’ve ever done in my life”.

Megan Poole, who currently works as a dental nurse in Dunoon, spent two-and-a-half weeks in Embangweni and Ekwendeni with Smileawi, a charity set up by her bosses, dentists Nigel and Victoria Milne from The Hollies dental practice in the Cowal town.

“Everyone was so grateful for our work and made it very clear how much they appreciated us being there,” Megan said.

“I would like to thank Vicky and Nigel for organising our trip and for making it an adventure of a lifetime that I will never forget. I can honestly say it was the best thing I have ever done in my life and probably ever will do!”
