Customer experience professionals from Webhelp UK’s site in Rothesay have kindly donated money to two local playgroups.

Apple Tree Nursery andthe Rothesay Playgroup each received £180 to help contribute to their pupil’s learning and development in the outdoors.

After hearing of Apple Tree’s plans to help the children grow their own fruit and vegetables, the Webhelp team in Rothesay was eager to contribute to their learning.

When it heard about the work that Webhelp was doing for local groups and clubs, Rothesay Playgroup also wrote to the customer experience provider seeking help to purchase some outdoor play equipment.

Local volunteering and charitable contribution are an important aspect of the work Webhelp undertakes at its sites throughout the UK. Each site has a dedicated team of charity ambassadors who are able to provide advice and support for fundraising events and take a lead on charity initiatives.

Rothesay ambassador John Shields, who co-ordinated the sites’ fundraising activities, said: “Playing outside is a great way for children to develop new skills and enjoy the outdoors. Both groups provide a vital service for parents in Rothesay and we were happy to be able to support this.”

This week’s two donations follow the presentation of cheques from Webhelp to two island sports clubs - Bute Rugby Club and the Bute-based Scotland branch of the British Chinese Kickboxing Association.
