The next generation of Bute rugby players will be represented when Scotland play host to France in the Six Nations on Saturday, March 8.
Among the mascots leading out the Scots in front of a passionate Murrayfield crowd will be nine-year-old Stewart Kennedy, from Edinbeg farm near Port Bannatyne.
Stewart’s little sister Ela and parents Gillian and Robert will be among those cheering him on as the Scots aim for a second win in a row in this year’s tournament.
Asked how he thought he might feel when : “Excited. Proud. Maybe a bit nervous.” That last bit is only natural: but even more so when you consider that he’ll have to learn all the words to Flower of Scotland before the big day!
