The Original Factory Shop in Rothesay has raised more than £3,000 for the Argyll and Bute charity Home-start MAJIK.

Colleagues at the store have been supporting the charity, which offers support, friendship and practical help to families with young children, with a range of fundraising activities, including fancy dress, community raffles and sponsored events.

The final total raised was £3,005.

Store manager Katrina Morrison said: “The store has all worked hard to raise this money for Home-start MAJIK, and as it’s such a deserving cause everyone in the town has been right behind us. We’re really grateful for all our customers’ support. Let’s hope these efforts will help to make a difference to those who need it in the community.”

Following an appeal to the community to nominate local causes, The Original Factory Shop in Rothesay selected Home-start MAJIK as their charity partner in January 2013.

The money was raised as part of the firm’s ‘Make a Difference in Your Community’ campaign, which was launched in January 2010 and has since raised more than £500,000 for local causes across the UK.
