Rothesay ferry disruption set to continue

Disruption to ferry services between Rothesay and Wemyss Bay will continue into a second day as engineers try to fix an engine problem on MV Bute.

Caledonian MacBrayne confirmed on Monday evening that a one-ship service using MV Argyle, which has maintained the service since the breakdown on her sister ship on Sunday afternoon, would continue into Tuesday.

Tuesday’s one-vessel timetable is as follows.

Rothesay departures: 0625, 0800, 0930, 1100, 1300, 1430, 1600, 1730, 1900.

Wemyss Bay departures: 0715, 0845, 1015, 1200, 1345, 1515, 1645, 1815, 1945.

We’ve asked CalMac when normal service might resume and expect to hear an answer on Tuesday morning.
