The company behind plans for a wind farm of up to 20 turbines on the Cowal hills facing Rothesay Bay is to bring a public exhibition on its proposals to Bute.

PNE Wind UK is working with the Forestry Commission on proposals for a site known as Bachan Burn, near Corlarach Hill, to the south-west of Dunoon.

The company will hold a ‘public consultation exhibition’ at Rothesay Pavilion on Thursday, March 27 between 11am and 3pm.

The firm states that the event - and a similar exhibition being held at the Queen’s Hall in Dunoon the previous day - will “allow us to engage with the local community and provide the opportunity for people to meet PNE staff, ask questions and find out more about the proposal”.
