A new workshop and studio space being shared by two Bute businesses opened its doors to the public on Saturday.

Bonnie Bling and Abbie Rodger Photography are sharing the two-storey premises in Watergate which formerly housed Print Point, Ambrisbeg Quarry and most recently a Christmas shop run by the owners of Ardbeg Post Office.

The ground floor will be used as a display space and shop for the two businesses’ products, while the first floor combines Abbie’s photographic studio with a workshop space for the manufacture of Bonnie Bling’s increasingly popular Scottish-themed acrylic jewellery.

Recovering after a hectic few days putting the finishing touches to the premises, Mhairi Mackenzie from Bonnie Bling said: “Having exhibited at a number of trade shows in the past few years we’re quite used to a bit of last-minute panic - it’s a lot more fun that way!”
