Police probe Rothesay house thefts

Police in Rothesay are appealing for information after a number of thefts from domestic properties in the town.

A number of items, including games consoles, were taken from a house in Columshill Street at around 2am on January 3, while on January 4, large electrical items were among property stolen from a property in nearby Columshill Terrace between 2am and 2pm.

Also on January 4, a ground floor flat in the Ferfadd Court sheltered housing complex in Bridge Street was entered between 4.30pm and 6pm and a quantity of cash stolen from a wallet inside.

It is not yet known whether any of the thefts are connected, but anyone with information about any of the three incidents is asked to contact Strathclyde Police on (01700) 894000 and to ask for Rothesay police office.
