The team from the Phoenix Centre visited Radio Bute to mark World Peace Day on Friday.

Clients from the Phoenix Centre in Rothesay, which provides services for adults with additional support needs, spread a message of peace, love and harmony around Bute to mark the International Day of Peace.

Among their stops on Friday were the studios of internet radio station Radio Bute, where the Phoenix Centre team’s visit was complemented by peace-related programming.

The annual International Day of Peace is dedicated not just to peace in general but specifically to the absence of war and violence, such as a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access.

The day was first celebrated in 1982, and is observed by nations and organisations across the world.
