No Rosebowl for Bute in Beautiful Scotland awards...

Bute may have missed out on the top prize at the Beautiful Scotland awards on Tuesday afternoon, but was still rewarded with a silver gilt award.

The silver gilt is awarded to entrants who have shown: “a high standard has been achieved which meets the judging criteria and objectives of Beautiful Scotland, including sections of exceptionally high standards.”

This year’s winner of the coveted Rosebowl, the campaign’s premier award, was Glenrothes, which Rothesay won two years ago.

Fife, as a whole, performed extremely well across the board, winning several of the top awards, in addition to a number of medals also, including Best Wee Village Trophy for Kilconquhar and The David Kerr Trophy for Coastal areas in Aberdour.
