Deer carcasses found dumped on Bute shoreline

Six deer carcasses dumped on the shore at the north end of Bute were discovered by an Ettrick Bay farmer at the weekend.

The discovery was reported to police on Saturday, although from the state of decomposition it is thought the remains may have been lying there for a number of weeks.

Police enquiries into the discovery are continuing; anyone with information should contact Strathclyde Police on (01700) 894000 and ask for Constable Sam Lawrie at Rothesay police office.
