Court: Port Bannatyne man admits village assault

A Port Bannatyne man pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting another man in the village when he appeared at Rothesay Sheriff Court on Monday.

Robert Ferguson (20), whose address was given as Ardentigh, Bannatyne Mains Road, entered an amended guilty plea to headbutting the man in the face in an incident in Marine Place on July 28.

Sheriff Ruth Anderson imposed a fine of £320.
