Court: North Bute man admits Port assault charge

A North Bute man was fined £200 at Rothesay Sheriff Court on Monday after admitting assaulting another man in Port Bannatyne.

Callum McKirdy (20), address given as 8 Croc-an-Raer, pleaded guilty to seizing the man by his clothing and punching him twice on the head to his injury at the bus turning circle in the village on November 11 last year.

Sheriff Ruth Anderson reduced McKirdy’s fine from £300 because of his early plea.
