Caledonian MacBrayne has been asked to alter its Rhubodach-Colintraive ferry timetable to take into account a change in the operating hours of Dunoon Grammar School.

The changes have been requested by Argyll and Bute Council because of the need to fit West Coast Motors’ bus service between Rothesay, Colintraive and Dunoon - which also takes pupils from the Colintraive area to and from school - around the new timetable.

The proposed alterations, on schooldays only, are as follows:

From Colintraive: 0730 departure re-timed to leave at 0720; 1630 re-timed to leave at 1625; 1650 re-timed to leave at 1645.

From Rhubodach: 0740 departure re-timed to leave at 0730; 1640 re-timed to leave at 1635.

The proposed change would take effect from the start of the new school term in Dunoon, which begins on Wednesday, August 13.
