The Chieftain of this year’s Bute Highland Games has offered his thanks to all involved in what he has described as an ‘overwhelming’ experience.

Mr Lyn Bulloch, who represents the Queen on Bute in his role as Depute Lieutenant for Argyll and Bute, has said in a letter to The Buteman: “The helpful guidance of the chairman, the secretary and all the officials and stewards was very smoothly orchestrated.

“The gifts of the Cromach, Marj’s [Lyn’s wife] flowers and a superb photo portrait by Peter Morrison - and lunch with Provost Len and Beverley Scoular - all created a wonderful experience for us.

“The warm reception by the people of Bute and the other visiting spectators around the park was quite overwhelming.”
