If you’re in the market for a lovely, fresh Christmas tree this year, why not pop by Rothesay Academy today to view some trees from Bute Forest?
One hundred pot-grown trees were bought by Bute Forest, and are being offered for sale today at the school. Buyers can then donate the tree back after Christmas, and in return can get 20 per cent off the purchase price of a tree next year.
A post on Bute Forest’s website states: “When the trees get bigger than anyone wants to buy, we will permanently plant them out in the forest. Any surplus we generate will help us to establish our own tree nursery. This is surely the most environmentally friendly Christmas tree option ever and we’re keeping our prices as low as we can (feel free to donate extra!).”
Prices for the trees, which vary in size between 3ft-6ft, start at £15, and the sale will start at 10am at Rothesay Academy.
