Bute Community Council seeks CalMac questions

Bute Community Council is inviting members of the public to submit questions to be put to Caledonian MacBrayne’s new area operations manager for the upper Clyde ahead of a meeting in Rothesay later this spring.

Simon Richmond will attend the community council’s meeting in Rothesay on Wednesday, May 21 - though in a break from the community council’s usual practice, questions for Mr Richmond will have to be submitted more than a month in advance of the meeting.

At their March meeting this week BCC members decided that seeking questions in advance, thus giving Mr Richmond time to prepare answers before his appearance, would be a more constructive approach than putting him on the spot with no advance warning on the night.

* You can submit questions for Mr Richmond by commenting on this article, or via the Facebook pages of either The Buteman or Bute Community Council. You can also email us directly (click on the email address at the top of this article), from where we’ll pass them on for consideration. The deadline is Wednesday, April 9.
