Bute is the best place to take holiday pictures in the UK, according to a survey of children carried out by a leading holiday operator.

Parkdean Holidays, which owns the holiday park at Wemyss Bay, interviewed more than 1,250 children across the country - and found that Bute was the most photogenic holiday destination in the country, beating Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park in Ilfracombe, Devon, and Yorkshire Sculpture Park in West Yorkshire, to the top spot.

Children who took part in the survey also voted the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar in Fife as having the ‘tastiest fish and chips’, Go Ape at Crathes Castle in Aberdeenshire as being the ‘best place for getting active’, and Edinburgh Zoo as ‘favourite animal sanctuary, zoo or aquarium’.
