Appeal for info on Rothesay fire victim

DID you know a gentleman named James Royden-Kent, who died in Rothesay nine years ago? If so, two readers of The Buteman would very much like to hear from you.

Dave and Sue McRoberts, who live in Deal in Kent, contacted us this week to ask if we had any information about Mr Royden-Kent, who died in a fire at his home in Ardencraig Road, in the High Craigmore area of Rothesay, on September 20, 2003.

We carried a brief report on the fire in the following week’s issue of The Buteman, but were unable at the time to find out any more about Mr Royden-Kent himself.

The McRoberts believe he may have been Sue’s father, with whom she lost contact in the early 1980s.

If you knew Mr Royden-Kent, or know of any surviving relatives who might have information about him, you can contact Dave and Sue on davemcr@talktalk.net.
