Link Club holds Rothesay coffee morning

The Link Club mental health project held a fund-raising coffee morning at the 292 Club in Rothesay on Saturday. Our man spent a pound at the tombola and came away with not a single winning ticket - although the additional 1 he splashed out on a bag of tablet proved a much better investment!

The Rothesay-based Link Club mental health project held a fund-raising coffee morning at the 292 Club in the town on Saturday.

The club, which provides support for people with a range of short- and long-term mental health conditions, has around 40 clients and is supported by mental health staff from Argyll and Bute Council’s social work department.

Run by its members, the club, which was set up around 15 years ago, holds regular self-help sessions along with a range of other activities such as supported cookery evenings, walks and other outdoor activities and, as on Saturday, fund-raising events.
