A new picnic table and benches have been unveiled in Rothesay as a lasting memorial to a member of staff at the town’s leisure centre.

Family, colleagues and friends of Isobel Johnstone, who died suddenly on March 14, gathered on Saturday morning for the official unveiling of the new table outside the centre in the High Street.

John Digney, the senior duty officer at Rothesay Leisure Centre, said: “Going by the number who attended, it was clear Isobel meant so much to so many people.

“She was a very special lady, and her passing hit everybody hard.”
