This Saturday, January 17, is your last chance to have the new bicycle you got from Santa at Christmas made safer from the threat of theft or loss.

Police Scotland will again be present at local cycle shop The Bike Shed from 10am until noon on Saturday to add a security mark to your bike using an ultra-violet pen.

All you need to do is bring proof of ownership and your address, and you’ll receive a record of your bike to keep in the event of it being lost or stolen. You’ll also be offered some useful hints and tips on how to keep your bicycle safe from would-be thieves.
