Jai McDowall’s Rothesay gig cancelled due to poor ticket sales

Jai McDowall's show at Rothesay Pavilion on May 18 has been cancelled due to poor advance ticket sales.

A gig at Rothesay Pavilion featuring Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall has been cancelled.

The singer, who won the ITV talent contest in 2011, had been due to perform on Bute on Saturday, May 18.

But the Pavilion’s operators, Argyll and Bute Council, contacted The Buteman on Thursday to tell us: “We have received notification from his promoter, pdf Productions, that the show will not now take place, due to low ticket sales.

“This is particularly disappointing for us and our customers, as there are more than two months to go until the event was due.

“Regrettably, however, the situation is out of our control, and customers who have purchased tickets are asked to contact Rothesay Pavilion reception on (01700) 504250 to obtain a full refund.”
