Bute Bowling Association received £750 to assist with the production and printing costs of their latest brochure, line dancing enthusiasts Isle of Bute Country Coasters were awarded £500 to help upgrade their sound equipment, and Port Bannatyne Petanque Club accepted a cheque for £1,000 which will help them build an additional piste in the village park.

Since opening in March 2013, the dedicated team at For Bute have raised a total of £82,400, every penny of which has been donated to island organisations.

Presenting the cheques, For Bute’s Marlene Hill appealed for more donations of quality items, with clothing, accessories, crockery and collectables being particularly welcome.
