Nine groups have benefited from a share of £4,000 from local thrift shop, ‘For Bute’.

Since it opened in 2013, ‘For Bute’ has distributed over £90,000 to local groups.

Receiving their share from this most recent round of donations are Bute Wheelers, Bute Shinty Club, Rothesay Playgroup, Bute Island Radio, Rothesay Bowling Club, Rothesay Golf Club, and Achievement Bute. Awards have also been made to North Bute Parent Council, and Bute Youth Forum.

The hard working team of volunteers at the popular shop in Rothesay’s Victoria Street is always looking for quality goods for resale, with 100 percent of funds raised remaining on the island.
