IN PICTURES: The story of Wemyss Bay pier’s major repairs

With the resumption of ferry services to and from Wemyss Bay pier now just a day away, here we look back at work which has caused more than five and a half months of disruption for Rothesay ferry users - but which, hopefully, will result in a much more reliable service in the future.

As we’ve previously reported, sailings to and from Wemyss Bay are due to resume on Friday, March 25 - the start of both the Easter holiday weekend and Caledonian MacBrayne’s new summer timetable.

Wemyss Bay pier has been closed since October 1 for major repairs; the terminal is due to reopen on Friday, March 25.
