IN PICTURES: Bute Science Festival at Rothesay Pavilion

Rocket-building, sun-spotting, bug-hunting, insect-tasting, planet-watching and much more were on the menu in Rothesay on Saturday as Bute hosted the Middle of Scotland Science Festival for the first time.

A huge variety of hands-on family-friendly exhibits provided a fantastic choice for visitors to the free event at the Pavilion, at which several local businesses were present to demonstrate how they use scientific applications in their day-to-day work.

The Middle of Scotland Science Festival came to Bute for the first time on Saturday, June 20, 2015.
