IN PICTURES: Busy Easter programme for Bute’s young people

Secondary-age pupils on Bute had no reason to complain that “there’s nothing to do” during the Easter school holidays thanks to a busy activity programme put together by the island’s Youth Services team.

The two-week break featured day trips to the Waterfront in Greenock, Airspace in East Kilbride and M&D’s theme park near Motherwell, as well as archery classes at Rothesay Pavilion, the creation of some eye-catching artwork for this summer’s ButeFest music and arts festival, and a day spent helping community group Bute In Bloom clear a patch of waste ground in Rothesay for future transformation into a public footpath (previously featured here).
