Rothesay Pavilion is the venue for a public meeting on the vision for Bute's future prosperity on Wednesday, September 2.

Members of the public will be asked to share their visions for the future of Bute at a public meeting in Rothesay on Wednesday night.

The event, taking place at Rothesay Pavilion, has been organised by the team behind a proposed ‘Alliance for Action’ for both Rothesay and the island as a whole, in the hope of uniting local businesses, public bodies and most importantly the people who live on Bute behind a single vision for the future.

Those attending the event will have a chance to contribute their thoughts on several themes, such as employment and enterprise, young people and Rothesay’s built environment, which are likely to have an important part to play in shaping the Bute economy in the years to come.

Wednesday’s event starts at 7pm. If you can’t attend in person you can still contribute your ideas by emailing Brian McDonald of the Scottish Urban Regeneration Forum - the organisation which is promoting the ‘Alliance for Action’ idea, with support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise and other public agencies - on brian@scotregen.co.uk.
