A Bute organisation has received a grant of almost £400,000 to continue their work in supporting young people in the community.

The HELP Project, which also operates in Dunoon, has been given £393,209 from Investing in Communities - Life Transitions to enable the continuing support of young people aged 16-25 to secure and sustain tenancies, improve their employability and support their engagement in training.

Michael Russell MSP has expressed his delight at the news, saying: “ I am very aware of the excellent work that HELP Ltd carries out in our community, I would like to congratulate Janet MacKellar and her team on securing this funding and wish them well as they deliver this worthwhile service for our young people.”
