A new and free service, dedicated to supporting those affected by cancer, will be opened at a soft launch in Rothesay Library on Tuesday afternoon.

The Macmillan Information and Support Service will provide a relaxed and informal environment for those with cancer, their family, friends or even work colleagues, to speak with volunteers for advice, support or even just a friendly blether. Volunteers are island residents who’ve received specialist training from volunteer co-ordinator, Chris Holden, under the supervision of Service Manager, Deirdre Henderson.

The launch will be held at 1pm in Rothesay Library on Tuesday, March 4, and all are welcome to attend and find out more.
