Twelve cyclists from RBS Invoice Finance in Glasgow, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, paid a brief visit to Rothesay on Friday morning as part of a ‘three ferries challenge’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The firm supports Macmillan nationally throughout the year, and the Glasgow group decided to make their latest contribution through a sponsored round trip starting and finishing at Wemyss Bay and heading via Rothesay, Rhubodach, Colintraive, Dunoon and Gourock.

Estimates for the length of the journey varied at between five and six hours, depending on optimism - though as the group pulled on their Macmillan T-shirts outside the Rothesay branch of RBS on Friday morning, there was certainly plenty of enthusiasm for the task ahead!
