‘For Bute’ presents £2,000 to four local groups

Four more island groups and organisations have benefited from financial contributions from local thrift shop, ‘For Bute’.

Included in this most recent round of donations are the following:

Bute Bowling Association - £500 to assist with the organisation of the Bute open bowling tournament in August;

Tee in the Port - £500 towards a children’s music workshop and a gazebo for the festival in June;

Baird of Bute Society - £500 towards the cost of their Canadian Science Scholarship (reported here);

Isle of Bute Jazz Festival - £500 towards the cost of the winter ‘Jazz at the Vic’ programme (also featured here).
