One of the highlights of the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival is the Lunchtime Farewell Concert at the Glenburn Ballroom featuring festival chairman, Tim Saul and guests which starts at 12.30pm.

This year the first part will be devoted to Jazz Manouche with Tim, members of Les Gitanes and the super gifted saxophonist, clarinettist and flautist, Norman King, fresh back on Bute after 10 years in Thailand.

The second set explores more general jazz themes and making up a cornucopia of talent will be trumpeter, John Henderson, guitarist Chris Clark, David Gray on drums, John Denman on vibraphone together with the exceptional vocal brilliance of Bute’s own Anna Harrison.

The festival ticket office/shop is closed today. Tickets will be available at the Glenburn Hotel but this is a limited capacity venue so it would be best to buy in advance to avoid disappointment.
