Bute’s ferry users are to get the chance to hear from all those involved in the provision of the lifeline services at a public meeting in Rothesay tomorrow (Monday, May 11).

Officials from CalMac Ferries Ltd, Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd and Transport Scotland have all been invited to attend the meeting, which has been organised by Bute Community Council and takes place at the Pavilion cafe at 7pm.

It will be the first opportunity for the community on Bute to hear from all those involved in the provision of the island’s ferry services at the same time - and hopefully end the “that’s not our responsibility” answer which has been all-too-often heard at meetings on the island on the subject in recent months.

If you can’t get to Monday’s meeting in person we’ll have it covered on this website on Tuesday - and also in our next print edition, on sale on Thursday, May 14.
