Santa Claus swapped his reindeer for a troupe of zombies for the closing act in Rothesay Academy's talent show on Friday - the final act in the school's year.

Rothesay Academy’s Christmas term drew to a close in eye-catching - and ear-catching - fashion on Friday with the school’s annual festive talent show.

The programme included covers of songs by best-selling artists performed by Rosa Edwards, Rianne Anderson, Mhairi McArthur, Layla Templeton and Stuart Gilchrist and Jamie Murray, while home-grown band Zygote Embryo Foetus and a demonstration of can-can dancing added to the mix.

Finishing off the show was the jolly old soul himself, Santa Claus - accompanied not by reindeer or elves, but by a troupe of zombies for Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

A few teachers also made an appearance on stage, but we couldn’t possibly divulge what they did...
