As every Scot knows, November 30 is St Andrew’s Day - and pupils at St Andrew’s Primary in Rothesay made sure that the patron saint of Scotland, and the man their school is named after, was appropriately remembered on Friday.

Following Mass at nearby St Andrew’s Church in the morning, pupils and staff enjoyed a Scottish-themed lunch dominated by the country’s own food and drink, before welcoming mums, dads and grandparents to the school building in the afternoon for a St Andrew’s Day concert featuring Highland dancing, Scottish songs from playgrounds, classrooms and history and even a brief biography of St Andrew himself.
