Slideshow: Bute shows its support for Children in Need

Britain raised a record £31 million for Children in Need on Friday - and Bute did its bit with a series of events at schools, nurseries and businesses around the island.

Pyjamas and onesies were much in evidence, along with cakes at St Andrew’s Primary, a Pudsey raffle at Rothesay Primary, where the day’s efforts raised £972.04, and even a pampering day for under-fives at Apple Tree Nursery in Rothesay.

A prize draw at local business Scottish Island Jewellery added £59 to the pot, with the prize of a Pudsey bear wearing an Isle of Bute pendant being won by Dona Parkins from Apple Tree Nursery.

Well done to all who contributed - for more Pudsey-related pictures, check out the next issue of The Buteman, on sale from Thursday, November 21.
