Rothesay pupils launch Christmas hamper appeal

A group of pupils at Rothesay Academy have launched a Christmas hamper appeal in the hope of bringing some festive cheer to some of the less well off residents of Bute.

Members of the school’s S3 ‘xl’ group are looking for donations of non-perishable goods such as tinned soup and vegetables, pasta, rice, chocolate, cereal, instant coffee and teabags to make up hampers for distribution to the elderly and young families on low incomes in time for Christmas.

Donations of all the above items (the only exception, apparently, being tins of peas, since the pupils already have a plentiful supply!), can be handed in to the main office at Rothesay Joint Campus during school hours until Friday, December 14, marked for the attention of Mr J. McGinnis.
