Two brave volunteers at Argyll College’s Rothesay learning centre are to have their hair shaved off for charity this week.

Assistant manager Sam Tweedlie and Skills for Work student Lily Woolnough will sit in the barber’s chair this Tuesday, November 5, as part of a day of activities to raise money for Children in Need.

In addition to Sam and Lily’s efforts, students and staff at the college will be taking part in a ‘onesie day’ on Tuesday to raise cash for the annual appeal.

They’ve set up a JustGiving page to allow people to donate online - and have already smashed their target of £150, raising £205 with donations from just 18 people.

To donate to the cause just click on the link - and check this site on Tuesday for news of Sam and Lily’s efforts!

* Update: Sam Tweedlie has now promised that if donations reach £500 by Tuesday, he’ll have his beard shaved off too! As well as donating via the JustGiving page above you can also donate by text - just text SFWC99 and your amount to 70070.
