The games hall at Rothesay Joint Campus was jam-packed on Thursday for the annual Take Time event, which provides a platform for local and mainland organisations to showcase the opportunities they can offer pupils and the wider community.

Among those present at Take Time were James Watt College, the University of Glasgow, Prince’s Trust Scotland, Fyne Futures Ltd, Radio Bute, Active Schools, Youth Services, Royal Signals and the National Kidney Federation and Achievement Bute.

One group which continued to draw a huge amount of attention in the corner of the games hall throughout the day was ThinkScience, a science-outreach company which visits schools and nurseries presenting a fun and exciting look at the field.

Listening to the various bangs and seeing vapours rising from the area, we deduced that the demonstrations by ThinkScience were going well - the crowd gathering around certainly indicated that much!
