There have been celebrations this week at Apple Tree Nursery in Rothesay following an unannounced visit from the Care Inspectorate - in which the nursery received scores of grade six, the highest marks possible, across the board.

The inspection lasted a full day, with parents and carers, staff and children being interviewed, and examples of good practice being observed both indoors and outdoors.

Feedback was provided at the end of the day, with the inspector remarking: “I will be using Apple Tree Nursery as a benchmark for future inspections.”

Manager Lesley-Anne Lee said: “It has been an exceptional week - we also received our second Eco Green Flag!

“I am so proud of the recognition the nursery has received, which is all due to the partnerships between staff, children, parents and carers.”
