Pupils at St Andrew’s Primary in Rothesay enchanted two full houses at their school’s Nativity play this week.

With all the leading roles filled by the school’s infant pupils, there were plenty of ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’ from the proud parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents in the audience on Wednesday and Thursday.

Vocal backing was provided by the older pupils in the school’s choir, who also helped lead a singalong of some favourite Christmas tunes after the Nativity performance.

There was also a stage debut, to great acclaim, for the school’s recently-formed group of line dancers, whose feet flashed across the boards in a manner which made several of the older members of the audience more than a little jealous!
