Fourth year chemistry pupils at Rothesay Academy have been investigating climate change as part of a project looking at renewable energy, carbon footprints and weather.

As part of this investigation, pupils of Miss Smith’s class spoke to Karen Hilton from Towards Zero Carbon Bute, who explained the various ways they can reduce their carbon footprint, in addition to supplying them with carbon monitors to keep track of their progress.
Mr Tony Harrison also talked to the fourth years about his experiences building the Huf Haus, an environmentally-friendly home which boasts green technology and was brought to its site in Ascog almost entirely per-fabricated.
