Police in Rothesay are appealing for information after an attempt was made to force entry to a flat in the town’s Bridge Street.

The attempt was made between 12 noon on Monday, November 10 and 1pm on Tuesday, November 11: the person behind the break-in bid was unable to gain entry to the flat, but the front door of the property was damaged.

Anyone with information about the incident can dial Police Scotland on 101 and ask for Constable Scott at Rothesay police office.

In a separate incident, an attempt was made to force entry to a flat in the town’s King Street between 8.30pm on Wednesday, October 22 and 8.30pm on Thursday, October 23; the door lock was broken but nothing was stolen from within the property.
